Description: Non Destructive TechnicianLooking for candidates that have prior experience/certifications for this role that will be Performing non-destructive testing on a variety of sheet metal aircraft components for an aerospace company.

Typically Monday through Thursday, times can vary but for days 4am – 2:30pm and swing would be 2:30pm – 1am.Location: Kent, WAThis is a direct placement with the company, unfortunately we do not offer relocation.

Duties:

• Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) on various materials and components
• Follow established procedures and guidelines for conducting NDT inspections
• Assemble and disassemble parts for inspection purposes
• Use hand tools, soldering equipment, calipers, and micrometers to perform inspections
• Interpret and evaluate test results to determine the quality and integrity of the materials or components
• Process parts and interpret findings in accordance with Exotic and customer specifications and requirements.
• Follow established NDT technique sheets and ensures any revisions to established techniques meet Exotic and customer requirements.
• Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of NDT methods and techniques and propose solutions to problems which impact productivity.
• Support other NDT Technicians in revising established techniques and methods. Accurately document inspection findings.
• Recommends modifications to inspection procedures/techniques.
• Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers and other inspection devices. Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
• Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
• Work under limited oversight.

Experience:

• Previous experience in nondestructive testing is required
• Familiarity with assembling and soldering parts is a plus
• Proficient in using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers for precise measurements
• Certifications will be necessary in NDT
