If you use Windows 11, here’s some great news: Microsoft has rolled out a major update to the Photos app that’s packed with improvements. The update moves it to a new framework called Windows App SDK, making it more compatible with the latest Windows versions. This upgrade brings some cool perks:- Better image quality: The new tech behind the app, WebView2, makes photos look sharper and more vibrant.- AI enhancements: Editing photos is now smarter and more efficient, thanks to AI-powered boosts.- Improved security: The app now runs at a medium integrity level by default, enhancing its security.- Easier editing: Save edited photos in the same spot without the hassle of choosing a file destination every time.- Simplified task management: All processes are combined into a single ‘Photos’ label, making it easier to manage in Task Manager. Why does this matter for your business? High-quality images can make a huge difference in presentations, marketing materials, and social media posts. The improved Photos app can help your team create better visuals quickly and securely. But a little heads-up… the new app might take a bit longer to load (around 20 seconds) and could use more of your PC’s resources when using the new web-based functions. Don’t worry if these changes don’t suit your needs, you can still download and use the Legacy Photos app from the Microsoft Store. The update will roll out automatically in the coming weeks. Are you looking forward to trying it? #Windows11 #Microsoft #PhotosApphttps://lnkd.in/gz7gzC9g

Adobe fan? Here’s something you should know: Adobe recently updated its Terms of Service, and it’s causing quite a stir.Adobe Creative Cloud includes popular apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and many more. The update has some people worried because it suggests that Adobe might access, view, or listen to your content. And that includes sensitive information protected by non-disclosure agreements.Eek!The main concern is that Section 2.2 of the new terms states that Adobe might use techniques like machine learning to analyze user content. They say this is to improve their services, handle feedback, prevent fraud, address security issues, and enforce their terms. But many are uncomfortable with the idea that their private and sensitive data could be used to train AI models. Adobe insists that there are no policy changes, just clearer wording. They emphasized that they only access user content to provide cloud-based features and combat prohibited content, and they do not access content stored locally on your devices. To clear up misunderstandings, Adobe has published a blog post explaining their stance. They stress that these changes are meant to enhance clarity and transparency.Despite Adobe’s reassurances, the vague language in the updated Terms of Service, combined with the rise of generative AI, has led some to reconsider their subscriptions. As Adobe continues to integrate AI into their services, it’s crucial they address these concerns to maintain user trust. If you’re worried about your data and how it might be used, it’s a good idea to review Adobe’s latest updates.Would this stop you using Adobe in future? \#Adobe \#AITraining \#TermsUpdatehttps://lnkd.in/gKs9eumh

Today marks a significant milestone in tech history. On June 18, 1979, Microsoft introduced BASIC for the 8086 16-bit microprocessor, a key moment that helped shape the future of computing. What is BASIC? It stands for Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. It’s a high-level programming language designed to be easy to use. Microsoft BASIC was first developed by Paul Allen and Bill Gates and launched in 1975 as Altair BASIC for the Altair 8800 microcomputer. This made it the first high-level programming language available for microcomputers, setting a foundation for many home computers in the late '70s and '80s.Microsoft BASIC became the go-to language for hobbyists, students, and early programmers who wanted to write software for their computers. Variations of BASIC, like Commodore BASIC and Atari Microsoft BASIC, were bundled with many home computers, helping millions of people get started with programming.By 1979, BASIC was in use on over 200,000 computers with Z80 and 8080 processors. The introduction of BASIC for the 8086 16-bit processor was a game-changer, allowing more powerful and complex programs to be written. It also set in motion a chain of events that led to Microsoft supplying MS-DOS to IBM… this event that started its rise as a dominant tech force.Even as home computers evolved, Microsoft BASIC retained a loyal following. Its legacy continued with Visual Basic, which brought a new wave of popularity to the language on Windows platforms. So, as we celebrate this anniversary, let’s appreciate how Microsoft BASIC, a simple and accessible programming language, paved the way for modern computing and helped Microsoft become the tech giant we know and love. Have you ever used it, even if just to print your name on the screen?#Microsoft #BASIC #TechHistoryhttps://lnkd.in/eQXK-T_J
