I've played nearly 100 ranked rounds all with default ball. I am outdriving most by 15-30 yds and I have been amazed that it doesn't look like folks are using the consumables. Now, this is only in the bottom tier as I suk

Well I got 1 more thing that I have not heard about , an being the one that outdrives most with the green master not the power graph perc, the balls definitely do matter and club percs as well but after all that there’s a little thing I discovered about where you stop the up swing on the swing meter, NEVER use all the red, it doesn’t mean the most power.you’ll instead try to stop it just after the white and up to a hairs width into the red 100 to 110 power lies in that tiny tiny area. If this helps and you never heard this please just try it , I need not promise it s true. I can show ya better than I could tell ya. I’d rather you see for yourself. 😊

So I’m new when you use a ball is it used for the whole game then gone ? Or is it gone by each stroke. I notice you can refill btw.

They should take these out of online ranked, I know they won't but they should imo.

I've been using them and if the other person isn't, I fly by from 30-50 yards longer. Hit a drive 398 with a tailwind in the last ranked match I played.

I think it would be great if you could exchange sleeves of balls you don't want for sleeves that you do want. I have a ton of sleeves that I will never use. Similar to how you can exchange fittings.

new to the game is there a bare minimum for driver distance ? Am I gonna be screwed if I don’t use all 3 full power fittings for a rhythm archetype for example. Thanks boss

I'm have a critical issue with the game I hope you can help with.
I'm not advancing out of Tier #1 in My Career playing in Pro mode. I've beaten the 3 rivals time and again over 2 months of playing 1 (Sometimes 2) round per day. This includes winning each of the tournaments.

I would enjoy seeing the ball type played at the end of ranked matches. I use the default ball and want my swing/strike to determine the outcome vs. the ball improving my play. Can’t fault TGC/2K for the $ maker, but not sure it’s a level field in ranked.

How are you losing the golf balls btw? Like where you see 3x. Do you eventually lose them by just playing games or by losing them in water for exemple

Wish you would have explained how the pack gets used up and how often you need to refill them.

Now that ranked is out, the game is even pushing the golf balls more. They have some kind of "challenge" running from March 1-8 where, if you play 50 holes of ranked, you get 4 free golf ball packs. They gave away packs if you played last week's official 2K society event, too.

Didn't even know that you could use these in ranked mode. I have only used the default ball and never will I use these balls. It really makes a unrealistic and unfair advantage. I'll stick with playing societies

What’s the most efficient way to gain VC?
Buying the legendary aviator 2 isn’t sustainable because it’s 900 for 12 balls, and I’ll probably gain 500 VC back (due to leveling) during the span of those 12 rounds. At a deficit of 400 that’s going to run out fairly quickly.

Seems like 2k screwed up the factors if they wanted a balanced system. Having 200 xp to distribute over these attributes is relatively simple the way they're labelled. Lots of flight and spin, minimal bounce and roll. If instead they had made bounce "stick" and roll "check" i.e. the opposite of what they are, the choices would more closely resemble real life firm or soft golf balls.

How do you get better golf balls. all I get when trying is "Purchase hold on golf balls."

When I use a ball, how long does it last? For 1 round or until I lose it in water or something? Also, the balls come in 3 packs right? So when I use a ball does it continue to use that kind until the 3 pack is gone or does it just go back to the default ball after 1 round?

So does x3 mean you get 3 rounds out of them? Like say you play 2 rounds then that means you will have one left? Also, can you use these in practice?

I’m playing via Xbox and when I play against a PlayStation player there’s something unusual with their swing. It’s about a 1/3 swing, very quick and rarely do they strike it fast or slow. Seemingly perfect almost every time. Has anyone else noticed this? Also I haven’t figured out how to turn off cross play 🤷🏼‍♂️

Some of you may want to sit down before i say this but I noticed now that EA has the same ball mechanic in its game as well except once you buy it you own it forever. I guess 2K chose to make repurchases as the way their game will work. I know thats a huge shocker, so calm down, catch your breath and when you've recovered have a great day.

My issue is how often do they get used up?

Maybe my age is showing, but I can't stand in-game currency that makes you constantly have to grind and replace depleted assets you've already bought. The last thing PC/Console games should be doing is copying mobile games. I probably would've quit gaming a long time ago if you grinded an RPG for a month to equip a great new sword, and then 12 battles later it gives you back your default sword because you wore out the new one. That's essentially what this game is doing with the golf balls, and who knows what else.

Im here because I have a dilemma. 2K or EA. Forget price. Forget 3 weeks away. Cross play is the biggest issue for me but ignore that for now. For watcher of this vid or to the creator. How do the physics of ball rolls, movements, bounces, factors like wind, grass length, conditions hold up in 2k. I mean are the physics realistic, hard yet feel fair and in comparison to the most recent of EA games. Cross play is the make or break but do I hold out on EA. An answer to the question on simply physics / mechanics is all I need. So would people say the 2k physics hold up to the EA games / do they differ a lot?

It’s sh*t like this why my interest is slowly dwindling away from this game tbh ..
The game update has made gameplay weird where big random fast swings or slows are now randomly happening and I say randomly because my gameplay since basically launch has been a consistent swing and I know when it’s my error for a bad shot the bad shots that appear recently just seem to be totally f*cking random ..
Then they release a ranked mode
Which is set to only pro and is literally just a leaderboard & badge with no incentive to play because apparently 2K doesn’t want to reward players for playing their game ..
And then there’s no separation beteeen 3 click & Swing stick players
There’s no option for those of us who enjoy the harder difficulty/challenge
& now it feels TO ME & I’ve seen others mention the same that the gameplay feels like it’s been tweaked on master or something changed IDK what .. when it was in a good state ..
But i genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if it had been changed to try steer people into this ranked mode on pro where you can play with gimmicky golf balls or just use 3 click & quite literally become the terminator of golf & sh*t on any real form of competitive nature LOL and I’ve nothing against 3 click but there are clear advantages to using it on pro distance & way more forgiving = 2 of a few lol!
Is it that hard to add a 3 click mode with a separate leaderboard .. idk
But TGC & soceties is the only thing holding me in on this game atm and I love TGC but if they’re trying to ruin a smooth gameplay experience for this casual ranked bs man it’s just making me count down the days to EA’s game even more so LOL!

Im really glad EA is back because even though EA isn’t perfect either I feel like 2K have really sat the f*ck back with innovation since acquiring the PGA license it’s like they achieved their goal of oh ok we got the league name we’ll just cash in on this every few years now with a few minor changes & tweaks this game should be the best one we had seen yet from 2K yet & in terms of gameplay I’ll hand them the fact it has played better then 21..
But aside from that it’s literally just the club house pass every 3 months 1 maybe 2 lil in game events for free clothes or some we can buy here and there & now it’s HEYYY WE GOT RANKED!!! but this ain’t about competition it’s about can we suck some extra money outa casuals to buy these virtual golf balls like it pisses me off I think everyone that plays this game SEE’s the potential & beauty of this game Except the people who work at 2K it’s like they don’t get golf they don’t care about what golfers want or like or wanna see in game they just want more casuals who are gonna chuck money at gimmicky bs!

This is the worst ranked mode in sports game I have ever seen, take any sort of skill out of the sim and turn it into EA bullsh*t. Just be good at math and use a PS5 controller.

All these options,now make the game not suck.its a empty shell of nothingness at its best.look,I won the player's championship,I got some bus driver white 🧦 as a reward.insert fart noise now.

Nice, but driving a ball an extra 10 - 20 yards is nowhere near as important as your Iron or Putting game.
