AEW RAMPAGE RESULTS FOR JUNE 28

  • Orange Cassidy defeats The Outrunners in a 2-on-1 match. Cassidy has something of a pose-off with The Outrunners. Cassidy dodges elbow drops from each opponent and comes back with his hands-in-the-pockets offense. The Outrunners accidentally hit each other multiple times. OC hugs the referee after almost hitting him by accident, leaving Orange open to a double team backdrop. Cassidy shakes off a couple punches to the jaw and fires up. OC dives onto one opponent on the outside and hits a crossbody splash on the other back inside. OC finishes The Outrunners off with Orange Punches for the pin fall win.
  • The Learning Tree is interviewed backstage. Jericho is on the phone and celebrates having found a partner for Forbidden Door. You’ll have to wait until Collision to find out who it is.
  • Gabe Kidd & Roderick Strong defeat The Infantry. The heels are in full control of the match through the first portion and heading into the commercial break. Carlie Bravo eventually makes a hot tag and takes the fight to both Kidd and Strong. He hits a cutter on Kidd for a two count. Dean tags back in with a splash on Kidd for a near fall after Bravo dives onto Strong on the outside. Roderick trips Bravo from the outside while he’s running the ropes. Strong hits Bravo with a rising knee strike, and Kidd puts him away with a piledriver for the three count.
  • There’s an ad where the Dark Order promotes a new Reebok sneaker dedicated to Brodie Lee.
  • El Phantasmo defeats AR Fox in a qualifying match for the TNT championship ladder match at Forbidden Door. Fox gets a two count on a swanton bomb early in the match. ELP comes back with a Manhattan drop and atomic drop. He hits a moonsault from the middle rope on Fox for a two count. Fox uses a matrix dodge and then nails a twisting suplex. He catches ELP with a 450 splash for a near fall. ELP lands a Destroyer jumping from the top rope, and then pancakes Fox with his finisher for the pin fall win.
  • Deonna Purrazzo is interviewed backstage and cuts a promo on Hikaru Shida ahead of their match on Collision in the Owen Hart tournament, while also talking trash on Thunder Rosa.
  • Shingo Takagi defeats Dalton Castle. Takagi almost KO’s Dalton late in the match with devastating elbows. Castle fires up, they trade back elbows, and Dalton puts him down with a lariat. Dalton gets a two count on a face plant. Shingo counters Dalton’s signature move and nails him with the Gory Bomb. Shingo keeps it going with powerful strikes and a DDT. He lands the Pumping Bomber and puts Dalton away with his Made in Japan for the three count.
  • Saraya and Harley Cameron are backstage. Saraya says Mariah May, Toni Storm, and Mina Shirakawa are all losers. She is going to beat May’s ass in the Owen Hart tournament. Saraya and Harley have a toast to celebrate the upcoming win.
  • Queen Aminata defeats Skye Blue. Queen executes multiple snap suplexes early on in the fight. Blue counters the next one into an inside cradle. Skye wipes out Aminata with a crossbody splash from the top rope to the outside heading into the commercial break. Queen almost takes off Blue’s head with a running kick in the lower rope. She follows up with a German suplex onto the ring apron. Aminata charges in but Blue moves out of the way, so Queen runs herself right into the ring steps. Blue suplexes Queen from the steel steps onto the floor outside. Skye hits an awkward full nelson snap for a two count. Queen dodges Skye’s finisher and comes back with a headbutt, which KO’s Blue and gets the three count.
  • Queen helps Skye to her feet after the match, but Blue kicks her down to the mat. She puts Aminata in a dragon sleeper. Red Velvet runs out for the save. Blue runs away from Red as Rampage goes off the air.
  • That’s the end of the show, folks!
